Harissa marinated chicken breast
In my quest for healthy and flavorful recipes, I have experimented with different seasonings. One of them is harissa. This seasoning is a mixture of chili peppers and other spices such as garlic and coriander. Honestly, a complete seasoning. This recipe is fantastic for when you have little time and still want to eat tasty food. And it is that it takes little work. If you have been eating chicken breasts for a while as a healthier meat alternative, you may get tired of eating it after a while. At least it happens to me. That's why I like to add flavors to the chicken that makes it a joy to eat. The harissa paste is a bit spicy so if you do not like spicy, try with a small amount. Actually I did not find it very spicy but it could vary depending on the brand you find. Here is how it looks like:Ingredients:Chicken breast thinly cutHarissa paste, enough to season the chicken completely and depending on your spicy toleranceGarlic powderSalt to tasteLemonOlive oilPreparation:Season the chicken with salt, garlic powder and harissa paste. Let it marinate for at least 20 minutes. Add the lemon to the chicken just before you start cooking it. I used only half a lemon for this amount of chicken.2. Add the oil to a skillet and set the heat to medium high. When the oil is hot, add the chicken. Cook over medium high heat on both sides until the chicken is fully cooked. The chicken will start to get a brown color, but do not worry, it's pure flavor. It is the caramelization of the seasoning. This chicken is delicious with salad, vegetables, rice and everything really. The next day I cut it cold and put it in a salad and it tasted divine.Enjoy.Inalvys
